In Our Own Voice
NAMI In Our Own Voice- presentations change attitudes, assumptions and stereotypes about people with mental health conditions. There free, 40, 60, or 90-minute presentations provide a personal perspective of mental illness, as presenters with lived experience talk openly about what it’s like to live with a mental health condition.
NAMI Broward County is looking for people who would love to be an “In Our Own Voice” presenter. If you think that you would be a skilled NAMI In Our Own Voice Presenters, we are having a NAMI In Our Own Voice Training on Saturday, July 21, 2018, in Orlando FL. Space will be very limited and early submission of applications is encouraged. Contact our office at 954-316-9907, as soon as possible.
Qualifications for NAMI In Our Own Voice- Presenters are people with personal experience. Because presentations are led by people with personal experience, each presentation emphasizes our messages of hope and community, and that mental illness is no one’s fault.
